Due to a wrist injury, Emma Raducanu is no longer competing for Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

After abruptly ending her season at the Transylvania Open, Raducanu’s inclusion in the team competition came as a shock.
Now, however, it is official that she will not be participating in the Glasgow competition that runs from November 8-13.

“It’s upsetting to hear from the physicians that I won’t be ready in time, especially because it’s happening on home turf,” Raducanu remarked.

Since my previous event, I have spent every day training and recovering in an effort to be ready on time.

I believe in my teammates, and I’m excited to go back on the field next season.

Three members of the Great Britain team—Harriet Dart, Heather Watson, and Katie Boulter—had already been named, and captain Anne Keothavong promised to announce additional members soon.

Glasgow was selected as the host city for the BJK Cup Finals, despite the fact that Great Britain had previously lost its play-off in a decisive match against the Czech Republic in April.

Britain is in a group alongside Spain and Kazakhstan, one of the four groups of three.

The group winners will advance to the semi-finals, and the championship game will be held on November 13.
